Not only does Sheffield Speakers Club provide members with the opportunity to develop confidence to speak in public but will also provide the opportunity to develop other skills that can used in the working environment. You will have the opportunity to run and organise meetings, as well as taking on additional roles.
At each meeting a chairman is appointed who is responsible for setting the agenda; arranging speakers and managing the evening. Throughout the year each member will take in turn to be the chair; to present a speech; to evaluate speeches, and chair the topics session. Each year elections are held for various roles within the club. which any member can be nominated for.
WHO ARE WE?
Sheffield Speakers club is affiliated to the Association of Speakers Club. We are a group of people who, for various reasons, want to improve our skills in public speaking. Sheffield Speakers Club offers a safe and supportive environment to allow people to do this.
WHEN DO WE MEET ?
We meet the second Tuesday of each month. You are more than welcome to just turn up, or alternatively if you want to know more before you come, please contact us below.
HOW MUCH IS IT TO BECOME A MEMBER ?
Come along and have 3 free session. After that if you wish to join the membership fee is £3.50 a month payable by direct debit.
